Don your cap to Piers Atkinson

For a long while now, Piers Atkinson has been a bright, albeit covert presence on the international milnery scene. From his origins growing up in Norfolk to his position as in-house PR and art director at Zandra Rhodes, via an involvement in hundreds of fashion events, Atkinson has been a notable figure on the British fashion scene for well over a decade now.

Despite this long and glorious presence, Atkinson is a relative newcomer on the milnery scene. This could be due in part to the relative infancy of his career as a hatmaker. Atkinson began this particular foray a mere 5 years ago, and in the time since he has witnessed his profile rising higher and higher with increasing features in editorials and on catwalks alike.

It is easy to see why his career has progressed so far. Piers' designs are strongly diverse and original, and lend themselves well to the numerous and different shoots and editorials in which they are placed.
His work is a great example of the multiple personalities so prevalent in fashion.

Stockists of his work are numerous; as well as Fenwick's and Not Just A Label in the UK he has outposts at Patricia Field in the US, and Sister in Japan, amongst others.
